In DAYBREAKERS, society is on the brink of collapse in a dystopian future where nearly the entire human population has been turned into vampires. The remaining humans are hunted for their blood, and the world is running out of resources to feed the growing vampire population. Enter Edward Dalton (Ethan Hawke), a vampire hematologist who secretly sympathizes with humanity and is desperate to find a cure for vampirism. Teaming up with a resistance group, and armed with knowledge that both humans and vampires will kill for, Ed must battle his own kind in a deadly struggle that will decide the fate of the human race.
